Course description

Students will investigate global economics with emphasis on the free enterprise system and its impact on consumers and businesses. Students apply critical-thinking skills to analyze financial options based on current and projected economic factors. Students will gain knowledge and skills necessary to set long-term financial goals based on those options. Students will determine methods of achieving long-term financial goals through investment, tax planning, asset allocation, risk management, retirement planning, and estate planning.

 

    Grading

  • Examinations and projects         = 50%
  • Quizzes and daily assignments   = 50%

    * All assignments are posted weekly in the classroom. Please see the Parent Portal (online gradebook) for updated grades.

    Electronic devices

    No electronic devices are to be out unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.

     

    Late work

    1 day late  – 30

    2 days late – 50

    3 days late – not accepting it

    Long-term projects not accepted late.

     

    Extra-Curricular Absences

    It is the student’s responsibility to ask the teacher for work that will be missed before absences for       extra-curricular events.

  • Please be in the classroom before the tardy bell rings.
  • Please bring assignments and supplies to class every day.
  • Please respect the rights and property of others.
  • Please use appropriate language and behavior at all times.
  • Please follow the guidelines as outlined in student handbook.
