Library - Friday
Reading: Students will read the following stories "Sally Jane and Beth Ann", "Ty and Big Gilly", " Bird Watching", The Kite" and "Benches". They will review over words with inflectional endings -er, -est added to base words. Review words with long i with spelling patteren (igh, ie, y). Students will continue working on sequencing events in stories read. They will learn about characters, events, and the setting of the story.
Language: Students will begin learning how to write a complete sentence and sentence rules. We will write sentences together and independent stories. Continue working on NOUNS(people, place, thing, animal). Continue working on verbs (action words). We will begin working on different kinds of sentences (telling sentences that end with a period and questions that begin with a question word and end with a question mark). Continue to work on Adjectives (describing words). They will begin learning about prepositions and prepositional phrases! students will learn about pronouns!
Math:Graphs!! Students will begin learning about picture graphs, bar graphs, and tally charts.
Science: Students will learn about external characteristics of animals and how it relates to how they move, eat, and where they live.
Social Studies:Morning Meeting board!!
