Reading: Students will focus on words with short o. They will read the stories "Lil and Max", " Curious George at School", " Did Dix Dog do it?", " Max Fox and Lon Ox", and " Is It Funny" . Students will continue reviewing over the five vowels (a, e, i, o, u). They will start blending sounds to read words with short vowels. They will find what comes at the beginning, middle, and end or words. They will also review rhyming.
Language: Students will begin learning how to write a complete sentence (starts with a capital and ends with a punctuation mark). They will also work on word or in sentences. Students will begin learning about nouns.
Math: Students will work on place value. Students will understand tens and ones and make tens and ones. Place value to numbers to 120.
Science: Five senses
Social Studies: They will talk about where we live (country, state, city).
