Edgewood Independent School District

Career and Technical Education

At Edgewood ISD, our goal is to prepare our high school students for life after graduation. The experiences we provide through the CTE program gives students hands on skills as well as valuable knowledge about specific programs that interest them. We want to provide our students with a world-class education that positions them for success beyond their senior year. We want our students to have the ability to compete with other competitors for jobs locally across our nation, and from around the world.

EHS students will submit course requests in the spring for the next school year. Before that time arrives, students should follow these steps below to be prepared to make informed decisions on the courses they would like to take.

  1. LOOK at the endorsements that are offered at EHS
  2. DETERMINE area of interest
  3. LEARN about available jobs and any required post-high school or technical training
  4. EXPLORE new career opportunities
  5. RESEARCH wage and occupation information, required levels of education and training requirements
  6. DISCOVER interests and abilities, use labor market resources at www.texasrealitycheck.com or https://texascareercheck.com/
