WELCOME HOME TO EDGEWOOD ISD, Mrs. Marci Kinch!! 🏠
Mrs. Kinch will be joining the family as the Edgewood Elementary Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. 🥳
We had a few minutes to sit down and talk with Mrs. Kinch and here is what we learned about our new family member. 🥰
💜 Where did you attend college and what degrees and/or certificates do you hold? I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University. I received my Master of Educational Leadership from Lubbock Christian University. I have the following certifications: Principal EC-12, Early Childhood Education PK-6, Elementary Self-Contained PK-6, English as a Second Language PK-6.👩🎓
💜 How long have you been in education? This year marks my 25th year in education. 👩🏫
💜 Tell us a little bit about your previous experience. I was a classroom teacher in Lubbock ISD where I taught in Kindergarten and 1st grade self-contained, as well as 2nd grade and 4th grade Math. I was an Instructional Specialist for Lubbock ISD, an Assistant Principal for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, and a Principal in Community ISD. 🏫
💜 What would you like to share about your family? I am blessed with a supportive and loving husband, Billy Kinch. He is the backbone of our family. We have four grown children that make us immensely proud. Our daughter, Tayler Parker Stargel, will begin her career as a Dermatologist in August. Our son, Trey Parker, is an attorney. Our son, Cody Kinch, is a welding teacher in Slaton, Texas. Our son, Ty Kinch, is an apprentice electrician. 👩❤️👨🧍♀️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️
💜 Can you share a fun fact about yourself? I love all things Harry Potter! 🪄⚡🏆📖
💜 What do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy spending time with my family and our fur babies!🥰🐶🐶
💜 Can you tell us why you CHOSE EDGEWOOD? I chose Edgewood because of its close-knit, family-like environment and the genuinely welcoming atmosphere fostered by the staff. I am looking forward to being part of the family and finding my home base as part of the Edgewood community.💜🐾💛🐾🤍
