Today, Mrs. Bass was surprised and celebrated as she learned she had been selected as this year’s Intermediate School Teacher of the Year—a well-deserved honor for an educator who goes above and beyond for her students every single day.

“Mrs. Jennifer Bass is loved by her students, respected by parents, admired by her coworkers and embraced by her community. No matter the community activity, you will see Jennifer there, especially the ones where she can support her students outside of school. As an educator, she is creative and innovating, trying to find the next big thing to help her students be successful. Her decisions are guided by data, but more so by the drive to help them achieve their goals. She is also a team player. Jennifer shares with her reading team the great ideas that she finds, as she wants all students to perform well.” 💜

All four campus Teachers of the Year will be recognized at the next Board of Trustees Meeting, where the Primary and Secondary Teachers of the Year who will advance to the Region 7 Teacher of the Year process will be announced.
