V DeLaPaz

πŸŽ“πŸŒŸ History Made at Edgewood High School! πŸŒŸπŸŽ“

We are incredibly proud to announce that V De La Paz graduated from Trinity Valley Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree on Friday, May 16 - before graduating from Edgewood High School! πŸŽ‰πŸ’œ

De La Paz is officially the first student in EHS history to earn an associate degree while still in high school. She made the most of our dual credit program, completing college courses during the school year and even taking summer classes before her junior and senior years to reach the full 60 credit hours required. πŸ“šπŸ”₯

She plans to continue her education at Abilene Christian University where she will major in accounting with a pre-law track and a minor in political science. πŸ’ΌπŸ’›

De La Paz was the first, but she is not alone, we’re excited to share that:

πŸŽ“ A Cassell is set to complete her associate degree this summer

πŸŽ“ M Cook will graduate in December

πŸŽ“ C Poynter will finish in May

Many other EHS students are also leaving high school with 20–40+ college credit hours, giving them a strong head start as they begin their university journeys! πŸš€πŸ“˜

We are beyond proud of these hardworking seniors and can’t wait to see all they achieve next! πŸΎπŸ’«
