Mrs. Easley will be joining Edgewood Independent School District as the Director of Special Programs for the 2025-2026 school year. 🥳
We had a few minutes to sit down and talk with Mrs. Easley and here is what we learned about our new family member. 🥰
💜 Where did you attend college and what degrees and/or certificates do you hold? UT Tyler - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies & Master's Degree in Educational Administration AND SFA - Educational Diagnostician Certification.🎓
💜 How long have you been in education? A LONG time....33 years (all in special education) 👩🏫🍎
💜 Tell us a little bit about your previous experience. Special Education Teacher - Brownsboro ISD & Canton ISD, Educational Diagnostician - Athens ISD, Director of Special Programs - Cross Roads ISD🏫
💜 What would you like to share about your family? I am married to a good, 'ol country boy, Darrell - 35 years! We have one daughter, Chelsea, who is an ER physician at Longview Regional Medical Center. 🥰
💜 Would you like to share a fun fact? Yes, my hair is naturally curly. I am a chicken fanatic!! I'm always up to try something new, well, within reason.... I love to travel and never meet a stranger! 🐔
💜 What do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy spending time with family & friends & my animals (cats, chickens, dogs, cows & anything else I can convince Darrell that I need) and simply living the country life. 🐱🐔🐶
💜 Can you tell us why you CHOSE EDGEWOOD? I chose Edgewood because I am excited at the opportunity to be a part of a tight-knit community and make an impact in the lives of that community. There are some amazing folks here and I can't wait to work with them! Also, because Mr. Tyner was relentless in his pursuit! And, I think purple just may be my color!!💜🐾💛🐾🤍
