EDGEWOOD, TX – Edgewood High School is proud to announce the three students selected by the Varsity Bulldog Football Team as nominees for the 2026 Football Sweetheart honor.
This year's nominees are S. Elder, senior; K. Bedford, junior; and M. Tyndell, sophomore. Each of these young ladies has been chosen by members of the varsity football team for this special recognition, continuing a tradition that celebrates school spirit and Bulldog pride.
The three nominees will be recognized on Friday, October 30, 2026, at I.T. James Memorial Stadium, where the 2026 Football Sweetheart will be officially crowned during a special ceremony prior to the varsity football game.
Edgewood ISD congratulates S. Elder, K. Bedford, and M. Tyndell on their nominations and wishes each of them the very best as they prepare for Friday night's festivities.
