Edgewood High School students that want to be part of an Angler's Association have the opportunity to fish with Grand Saline High School Bass Anglers. Their director, Trish Copeland, shared this information.
"On behalf of Tyner and Mindy Jistel, myself, and ALL of the Grand Saline High School Bass Angler families, we want to give our heartfelt appreciation to the Lake Fork Sportsman Association. 🌊🎣
Once again, they partnered with sponsors to provide fishing equipment for some of our local high school fishing anglers. This year, they awarded 4 schools, and Grand Saline was honored to be one of them!
We applied for 10 teams, and thanks to their generosity, each team received 2 rods and reels (1 baitcaster and 1 flipcast) along with 10 five-gallon buckets of baits.
This couldn’t come at a better time... Grand Saline High School Bass Anglers has its largest team ever with 21 teams! These rods and supplies will give our anglers the tools they need to compete at a higher level.
The Lake Fork Sportsman Association does this year after year for our kids, and they truly cherish every moment of giving back. A huge thank-you also goes out to their sponsors, Bass Pro Shops and Tackle Warehouse - go check them out!
You’ll be able to see the Lake Fork Sportsman Association at the Sealy Outdoors Event in their Live Release boat. Be sure to shake their hands and let them know how much we all appreciate what they do for our area youth and for Lake Fork! 💜🐾"

🏈 Faith, Family, Football Decal Night! 🙌
Tonight, Coach Kevin Bachtel and the Edgewood football coaching staff continued one of our favorite traditions - inviting football families to come out and place decals on the players’ helmets before the first game of the season! 🎉
This special night, known as “Faith, Family, Football Decal Night,” was started by Bachtel when he was in Edgewood before and is all about kicking off the season with love, support, and team spirit! 💜💪
Coach Bachtel’s brother, Brandon Bachtel, shared an inspiring message with the boys about sacrifice, teamwork, and playing for something bigger than yourself. 👏🔥
