WELCOME HOME TO EDGEWOOD ISD, Ms. Skylette Wolf!! 🏠 Ms. Wolf will be joining Edgewood Intermediate as a Fifth Grade ELAR Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. 🥳 We had a few minutes to sit down and talk with Ms. Wolf and here is what we learned about our new family member. 🥰 💜 Where did you attend college and what degrees and/or certificates do you hold? I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Texas at Tyler, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. I'm certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade and feel so blessed to be living out my calling as a teacher.👩‍🎓 💜 How long have you been in education? This is my second year as a certified teacher, but I’ve been in classrooms in some way for several years now! I actually started my journey as a substitute teacher right here in Edgewood, which is what inspired me to go back to school and pursue my degree in education. 👩‍🏫 💜 Tell us a little bit about your previous experience. I was a student teacher at Andy Woods Elementary and Caldwell ISD in Tyler, as well as Van Intermediate. Then, just one week after graduating, I accepted a first grade teaching position at J.E. Rhodes Elementary in Van, TX. It was the most amazing first year full of growth, learning, and mentorship—I truly couldn’t have asked for a better start.🏫 💜 What would you like to share about your family? I’m a proud mom to the sweetest little boy, Layken Ty, who is four years old and absolutely full of energy! Being his mom is my greatest joy. I’m also an only child to my wonderful parents, Christy and Chad Francis, who have always supported my dreams and believed in me even on the hard days. Family is everything to me. 🥰 💜 Can you share a fun fact about yourself? Fun fact—I graduated from Trinity Valley Community College in 2020 with my associate’s degree, and before that, I graduated from Mabank High School in 2019. As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year 📚, we also want to honor our dedicated family members 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 who are transitioning into new roles within our district. Our first change is Mrs. Kristy Jones. 🎉 Mrs. Jones is currently the Elementary Principal 🏫. In 2025-2026, she will be the new Director of Human Resources and District PEIMS Data Coordinator 📊.
